Revlon Colorburst = My Latest Obsession!

So quickly quickly I must express how Revlon Colorburst is officially a staple in both my makeup bag, and my daily makeup routine.. For now at least :)

Unfortunately I've only tried one and the shade name is "Cupcake" but most definitely be trying more and adding some actual looks with the product as far as wear, and possibly some additional swatches.

I would compare the pigment to certain Mac lipsticks, and the texture is super creamy and non-drying in application. Not to mention the price, which is anywhere from $5 to $10 in almost any local drugstore. Checkout the quick swatch of  "Cupcake" shown below, I would compare it to a shimmery, cream version of the famous color "Saint Germain" made by MAC. Again, more to come :)

New Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Berry Bomb & Reminiscing Punk Punch

New Baby Lips Shades
The Electro Line

So I cannot even try to play it off, this was one product line that I simply couldn't hold back.. I saw the display in a quick trip to Ulta, and found myself going to multiple local drug store locations in less than 24-hours because the suspense was killing me so much I couldn't stand it!

With that being said, it goes without saying that I'm a HUGE fan of the Baby Lips products in the originally released variety,  so I had pretty high hopes, and expectations for this particular selection because it was a combination of my current lip balm obsession (+) a purple tint; which is my signature lip color most of the time.

 "BERRY BOMB"

The Results..

OVERALL OPINION OF PRODUCT: The results when using Berry Bomb were everything I thought they would be! I was relieved to find out that my biggest concern (as mentioned following the swatch image below) was put at ease, and ecstatic that this could be added to my list of amazing Baby Lips flavors!

APPLICATION & COLOR TINT RESULTS: When applied, the texture was both smooth and appealing. The 'berry' shade left the hint of shine with a very light, and ever-so-subtle purple tint. The color was non-abrasive, and transcended a perfect hue of color tint that's loud without being over-the-top bold.

Because not every Baby Lips experience is a good one...
I just wanted to take a moment and express the only significant problem I've ever had when dealing with this product for both future prevention precautions, and the simple curiosity how one beautiful shade of an AMAZING product happened to go SO terribly wrong!

When I first tried Baby Lips, I immediately pointed out the shade I could not live without as being "Pink Punch" a luscious pinker shade of melon, that's appealing on almost any skin tone for almost anything..

"PINK PUNCH"

The Results..
When I had applied all of the other previous Baby Lips product varieties they had been smooth and soothing, leaving my lips softer to the touch, and just generally better in feeling than before I had used it... However, when I tried the shade "Pink Punch" it was very waxy and unpleasant, leaving the appearance of my lips very dry, and peeling more than usual, which resulted in the color tone being very uneven, and just generally unattractive overall.

Baby Lips "Pink Punch" Final Grade: D
Such a shame that such an amazing color option, turned out to be such a bummer!
