Revlon Colorburst = My Latest Obsession!

So quickly quickly I must express how Revlon Colorburst is officially a staple in both my makeup bag, and my daily makeup routine.. For now at least :)

Unfortunately I've only tried one and the shade name is "Cupcake" but most definitely be trying more and adding some actual looks with the product as far as wear, and possibly some additional swatches.

I would compare the pigment to certain Mac lipsticks, and the texture is super creamy and non-drying in application. Not to mention the price, which is anywhere from $5 to $10 in almost any local drugstore. Checkout the quick swatch of  "Cupcake" shown below, I would compare it to a shimmery, cream version of the famous color "Saint Germain" made by MAC. Again, more to come :)

New Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Berry Bomb & Reminiscing Punk Punch

New Baby Lips Shades
The Electro Line

So I cannot even try to play it off, this was one product line that I simply couldn't hold back.. I saw the display in a quick trip to Ulta, and found myself going to multiple local drug store locations in less than 24-hours because the suspense was killing me so much I couldn't stand it!

With that being said, it goes without saying that I'm a HUGE fan of the Baby Lips products in the originally released variety,  so I had pretty high hopes, and expectations for this particular selection because it was a combination of my current lip balm obsession (+) a purple tint; which is my signature lip color most of the time.

The Results..

OVERALL OPINION OF PRODUCT: The results when using Berry Bomb were everything I thought they would be! I was relieved to find out that my biggest concern (as mentioned following the swatch image below) was put at ease, and ecstatic that this could be added to my list of amazing Baby Lips flavors!

APPLICATION & COLOR TINT RESULTS: When applied, the texture was both smooth and appealing. The 'berry' shade left the hint of shine with a very light, and ever-so-subtle purple tint. The color was non-abrasive, and transcended a perfect hue of color tint that's loud without being over-the-top bold.

BABY LIPS BERRY BOMB FINAL GRADE:   A

Because not every Baby Lips experience is a good one...
I just wanted to take a moment and express the only significant problem I've ever had when dealing with this product for both future prevention precautions, and the simple curiosity how one beautiful shade of an AMAZING product happened to go SO terribly wrong!

When I first tried Baby Lips, I immediately pointed out the shade I could not live without as being "Pink Punch" a luscious pinker shade of melon, that's appealing on almost any skin tone for almost anything..

BABY LIPS
"PINK PUNCH"

The Results..
When I had applied all of the other previous Baby Lips product varieties they had been smooth and soothing, leaving my lips softer to the touch, and just generally better in feeling than before I had used it... However, when I tried the shade "Pink Punch" it was very waxy and unpleasant, leaving the appearance of my lips very dry, and peeling more than usual, which resulted in the color tone being very uneven, and just generally unattractive overall.

Baby Lips "Pink Punch" Final Grade: D
Such a shame that such an amazing color option, turned out to be such a bummer!

Colgate Optic White Products= Clean, but not totally sold

My thoughts on the Colgate Optic White System pretty much all boil down to one fact: The products are awesome as expected for cleaning performance; however whitening results we're pretty much invisible in my opinion.

I love the toothbrush and would definitely purchase it again, as well as the toothpaste. But the mouthwash had the most foul taste, and coated your throat for at least 30 minutes after using it with a thick, foamy foulness. Either way, I was excited to give it a go for free thanks to the 2013 Influenster Sugar N' Spice Voxbox :)

Forever Red ~ Exclusively at Bath & Body Works

After receiving a complimentary introduction sample of Bath & Body Works newest highly anticipated fragrance "Forever Red" Eau De Parfume from my beloved friends at Influenster.com,  I definitely have already found myself working it through my day-to-day perfume scent selection.

The thing that most surprised me about my reaction to it's overall fragrance, was both the overwhelming amount of individual variation of scents I am able to detect in it; and the fact that it's offered available in a very wide variety of options that your standard department store shelves don't often carry for you personal perfume preference. For example, if you are like me and prefer a rather strong scent that possibly may overwhelm the common few, then the Eau De Parfume is most likely your go-to; but if you are more of a subtle type of gal you also have the Fine Fragarence Mist option to help you achieve the same great scent, without the punch in power. Heck, even if you don't wear scents or fragrances you can still be Forever Red for a special night on the town by using it in the Shimmer Mist!

Cosmo Voxbox 2012

So thanks to my continuous need to share my every opinion when it comes to any and all beauty products, and the awesome people over at Influenster.com who not only provide a place to voice them- but actually reward you for doing so; I was super excited when I had been selected to receive my 1st ever Voxbox!

The Voxbox, is basically a random free box of little goodies that are usually based around a general theme, that the folks over at Influenster.com provide to their members, and is selected upon the amount and type of products that the member provides feedback on, under the pretense that the receiver is willing to respond to assigned "tasks" and provide their opinion about the items found in the box.

Conclusion~> Who doesn't like a surprise little box of free stuff??! Certainly not me :)
